About The Springs Community

autism conditionsAt The Springs Community we make every effort to ensure that residents have full access to opportunities for personal and social development. 

Our goal is to encourage independence through high quality services and opportunities  offered within a residential community environment that is both positive and supportive.

Our experience of providing a residential environment exclusively for the needs of people affected by autism-related conditions has resulted in proven practices that manage the symptoms common to the continuum.  The emphasis is always on the support of the individual and the management of the condition to develop skills that will improve their quality of life and degree of independence.

Admission

The Springs Community is able to provide a home for 29 residents between the ages of 16 and 65 years of age.  Referrals are accepted through local authorities from all over the country for those aged between 16 and 45 years on admission.

The Springs Community occupies a two acre site adjacent to the Kent coast.

We can provide a wide range of in-house leisure, recreational and therapeutic facilities, these include:

  • communal & quiet lounges
  • large recreational room
  • astro turf five aside football pitch
  • 24 hour care cover
  • full catering with menus to suit preferences and specialised diets
  • residents' kitchen
  • private beach access
  • covered outdoor swimming pool & training pool for year round swimming
  • two squash courts
  • tennis court
  • walking and cycling areas along the sea wall
  • variety of vehicles, including minibuses for residents use
  • nearby shopping facilities & eateries
  • regular trips to local sites of interest and trips to France
